Unlocking Tech Careers: Contentsquare’s EPD insights at Epitech
Last month, Christophe Kalenzaga, a Senior Software Engineer at Contentsquare, delivered a presentation for second-year students at Epitech, a renowned French engineering school dedicated to training students for careers in the tech industry. His presentation focused on the behind-the-scenes of Contentsquare’s experience intelligence platform and offered 30 students true insight into the day-to-day of a Software Engineer at a cutting-edge start-up in the tech industry.
Christophe started the session by outlining the various roles in our EPD Team (Engineering, Product, and Design) at Contentsquare. This helped Epitech students understand the differences between being a data scientist, data engineer, platform engineer, product manager, QA engineer and DevOps, to name a few.
The presentation also covered an introduction to the tools the EPD department uses and their technical choices. Both students and professors alike were engaged and involved throughout the discussions, they did not hesitate to ask technical questions regarding the column and line format, distributed computing and Contentsquare’s technical stack. One student commented, “Christophe easily manages to simplify all these complex concepts”.
The second-year students were also keen to learn more about the individual contributor career path, which allowed us to share information regarding Contentsquare’s extensive career path framework and our multiple learning and development programs. Reflecting on the session, Christophe said, “It was nice sharing field experience with the next generation of software developers.”
