REO worked with TSB Bank to redesign its home and product pages. Their main goals were to make information on these pages more accessible to users and ultimately boost conversions.

Heatmaps visually represents how users interact with different elements on a webpage, allowing REO to identify which parts of TSB Bank's home and product pages drew the most attention, which elements encouraged clicks, and which content caused users to bounce.

The analysis revealed that 78% of TSB Bank's customers accessed the bank's products via mobile devices. This presented a UX and design challenge because mobile screens offer less space to display complex product information than desktop screens.

The existing layout of the product pages and the overall TSB bank's website also made it difficult for new and existing visitors to find the information they needed, negatively impacting performance and conversions.

Based on these insights, REO made strategic changes to the product pages.

They redesigned the layout to allow visitors to compare products more easily and view key benefits upfront. The team also ensured that the benefits of one product stood out clearly over others while maintaining a consistent and clear design.

2. User testing and A/B tests

After REO redesigns a website, the work doesn't end there. They continue to test and make adjustments based on real user feedback, helping to ensure that the site performs well and meets user expectations.

In the TSB Bank case, REO conducted user tests after redesigning the product pages. These tests involved real users interacting with the site, with REO observing their behavior with Contentsquare's Heatmaps.

Through these user tests, REO discovered some users were confused by certain design elements and parts of the website's copy. This confusion led to a poor user experience, potentially causing users to leave the site or not complete the desired actions.
