Series F – Why I’m excited about our new growth investment
For generations, my family had worked in the rice and bean import-export business, and it was more or less understood I would too. Instead, I created my own path in college, when I developed a school project that would later become a life project: Contentsquare.
Today, I’m super excited to share that Contentsquare has just raised a new $600 million growth investment.
How this investment will fuel our vision
We all spend so much of our lives online and many of the experiences we have fall short of our expectations. We imagine a world where all businesses give you an experience you love, enjoy, desire, seek and deserve. We are laser focused on helping businesses of all sizes deliver more human digital experiences — experiences that are seamless, frictionless, rewarding and inspiring.
The first thing we’re going to do is what we do best — focus on innovation and product development to deliver even more value to our customers. We have five products today, we’re planning three new launches in the next 18 months.
We’re also going to increase our footprint in existing markets — North America, Europe and Asia — to provide more on-the-ground insights and support to our clients. We’ll also expand into new countries and new market segments.
We’ve acquired six companies in the last three years, and we’ll continue to develop M&A as a muscle to bring on great new technology, add expertise and skills to our team, and address a wider market.
We will do all of the above with a strong focus on operational excellence. Our model is already generating several hundred million dollars in annual recurring revenue, and we’ve been rolling out strong processes to make data driven strategic decisions faster and drive more efficiency across the board.
Looking beyond, and striving to always do better
The last ten years have been an incredible ride, but the truth is we’re only just getting started! Our dream for Contentsquare is not only to be the leading experience partner for businesses and organizations of all sizes and verticals, but to build one of the greatest software companies in the world! And that means looking beyond ourselves to something much bigger.
In recent years, we started to think about how we could make a real difference in key Impact areas, such as data privacy, digital accessibility, and sustainability. We introduced impact as a new pillar of our company and decided to approach it as a company-wide movement — not just a department. Our investments span the entire organization and today we have people across all teams working on impact-focused projects.
We’re at the start of this journey and we’re proud of the projects we’ve launched already, including the Contentsquare Foundation, a nonprofit with a mission to make the Web accessible to everyone.. This year, the team launched Readapt, a free assistive technology available on Chrome and Word, as well as a new partnership with L’Institut de la Vision.
When it comes to digital trust, we’ve doubled down on our commitment to privacy by launching last year the industry’s first cookieless experience analytics solution.
