The fresh round of funding will be used for Contentsquare’s global expansion as well as hiring new talent.

Contentsquare, the online shopping technology used by L’Oreal and Unilever, has secured $20m (£16m) funding from Highland Europe in a bid to cash in on the emerging £3bn “user-experience” industry.

Highland Europe has provided $20m in series-B funding for web and mobile content optimisation business Contentsquare.

Founded in 2012 by Jonathan Cherki, CEO, Contentsquare provides a platform which leverages artificial intelligence to allow online brands to capture online/mobile behaviors to measure content performance, understand visitor intentions, explain consumer decisions when they do or do not purchase.
