Director, Platform Services

The Platform mission is to lead the Platform and Infrastructure in CS,
for us that means 2 main things:
Manage and operate powerful multi-cloud, high scale SaaS
Support our developers from build to production. Make it efficient and simple for them to do magic

Our stack:

The short list:
We host our SaaS on AWS and Azure. Run our stateless applications on kubernetes and on our way to run stateful as well.
We use Kafka, Aerospike, Clickhouse, Flink and RDS for our data pipelines.
We manage our entire infrastructure with Terraform and Helm.
We use Github and Github-actions for CI, Spinnaker for Deployments,
Observability with Grafana, Prometheus, mimir, ELK and more..

Our challenges:

The platform team operates with the mind set and focus on 6 pillars:
Observability, Security, Cost, Reliability, Scalability and Dev experience.
Main challenges:
Support the growth of engineering teams and technologies
Enhance production resiliency and scalability
Perfect our observability, cost and security of our SaaS

The opportunity:

As a senior manager in the Platform organization you will own a big part of the developer’s experience in contentsquare, influencing the lives of more than 400 developers.
From build to production, that involves making sure their tools, processes, and working environment are all conducive to their best work.
As a leader in R&D you will have a significant impact on our SaaS product. You will take part as a leader in the Platform team to lead our cloud infrastructure, data, developer’s tools, automation and more.
You will play a critical and active role in the day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity to be one of the key leaders of R&D.

What you’ll do:

You will develop a team and continue to grow, train and mentor it
You will work on vision and strategy for Platform
Take a big part in the leadership of Platform, tackling for improvements everywhere
You will have the opportunity to play a big part in the leadership of R&D
Collaborate with many dev teams on architecture, design and planning
Handle big and important projects on multi cloud environments
Own, improve and advocate for production stability and performance
Work with all major technologies relevant to manage high scale SaaS and big data environments on public clouds (AWS & Azure)
You will work closely with all our top engineers and management, reporting to VP Platform

What would make you a good fit:

You have experience working for a SaaS company
5+ years DevOps experience, preferably in a global company
A confirmed experience of 4 years as a manager
You are data driven and you love numbers. Working closely with dev teams for benches and calculations on scale and needs
You care about developer’s experience and you think about ways to continuously improve their efficiency and joy working with Platform tools
You are very curious and technical. You have hands-on experience.
You can take on yourself to lead cross functional technical projects
You adapt quickly in a changing environment and you always reconsider your methods
You have a strong will to go beyond yourself
You are a great teammate
You want to be part of an amazing fast-growing & international company
You're fluent in English (spoken, written)
You have Work Hard and Play Hard spirit
